Shining Bright at 2021 VTIC Victorian Tourism Awards

At the 2021 Victorian Tourism Awards, held on Thursday 3 February 2022, which honours business excellence and performance within the tourism industry across the state, Red Hill Candle Co was recognised with awards in two categories.

Among a strong field of nine finalists, Red Hill Candle Co took home the Bronze Award in the category of New Tourism Business which recognises excellence in the planning and development of new tourism infrastructure and/or services in the state.

Ebony Flett, the founder of Red Hill Candle Co., was also recognised for her personal contribution to the development of a vibrant and professional tourism industry as the winner of the Young Achievers Award.

From its home-based beginnings, Red Hill Candle Co has become a thriving store and workshop experience located in the bustling Dromana Industrial Estate offering visitors a unique opportunity to delve into the world of fragrance.  

“We’ve been working on this for over five years now, but the last 12 months have just been amazing,” said Ebony. “Opening the factory experience and store with such a wonderful visitor response to our workshops, plus being part of this resilient Victorian tourism industry, it’s been such an incredible and at times interesting year.”  

Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Chief Executive, Felicia Mariani, said the awards showcase some of the most compelling businesses in Victorian Tourism. “VTIC is proud to deliver such an important event for our industry, that highlights the innovation and passion our operators exhibit every day in creating magical moments for their visitors,” Ms Mariani said.
