Explore Your Five Senses in One Weekend on the Mornington Peninsula

Recently a couple visited us to design their own custom candle fragrances in our Scent Library and gave us this fantastic idea for a blog - so we’re passing full credit to them! They were enjoying a weekend away and had designed it around exploring the five senses; touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing. Here is our version of what could make for an amazing weekend on the Mornington Peninsula engaging in all five senses.

  • Touch
  • What better way to kick off a romantic weekend than a relaxing massage. You may be surprised to know that the Mornington Peninsula is home to the very first Endota Day Spa which opened in 2000, who now have 110 locations globally. While there are a number of beautiful day spas across the Peninsula including at both Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Hot Springs, we’ve always been quite fond of the intimate experience that Endota Red Hill offers.

  • Taste
  • The options for taste on the Peninsula are seemingly endless and we could dedicate an entire blog to this alone, but we’re going to share some of our favourites which are all within a 10 minute walk of Red Hill Candle Co, each offer tasting options and are the best at what they do each having won numerous awards.

  • Smell
  • Well this one is a no brainer - it’s got to be a visit to Red Hill Candle Co! Join us for either a Scent Lab or Scent Library candle making experience exploring 40 different fragrances. We’ll guide you through the process of creating your own custom candle blend using up to three fragrances. You also get to name your candle and we print a bespoke label making it truly special. See more and book here.

  • Sight
  • For many it is the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula which draws them in and keeps them coming back time and time again. A few of our favourite places to enjoy views over this stunning region include; Arthurs Seat, Millionaires Walk, Bushrangers Bay or enjoy a visit to Pt Leo Estate which gives you spectacular outdoor art coupled with beautiful views over the vines and Bass Straight.

  • Hearing
  • Every Sunday afternoon Peninsula Hot Springs host different local artists for afternoon tunes in their Bathhouse cafe which could be the perfect end to a weekend of indulging in your senses. Alternatively catch a movie in one of Victoria’s last standing Drive In’s, Dromana 3 Drive In and enjoy the novelty of cozying up in your car tuned in to the big screen.

So there you have it…your Mornington Peninsula weekend itinerary sorted exploring all five senses! We hope to welcome you into our wonderful world of fragrance soon and be part of your adventure.
